Who We Are
Who We Are
Because the future of our communities depends on how we nurture, guide and empower young people today. Raise A Man creates safe spaces, builds skills, promotes mental wellbeing, challenges harmful gender norms and equips young people to become responsible leaders and positive contributors to society.
We believe that transformation starts at the local level. By confronting systemic challenges, we break down barriers to success through targeted support frameworks.
To empower boys and young people with the knowledge, skills, support and opportunities they need to achieve mental and physical wellbeing, develop positive identities, build healthy relationships, discover their potential and become responsible leaders and agents of positive change.
A society where every young person is empowered to thrive, live with dignity, and contribute positively to a safe, healthy and equitable community.

Why Raise A Man?
Every young person deserves the opportunity to grow into a healthy, confident, responsible and purpose-driven individual.
Across many communities, young people face challenges that can significantly shape their future—including mental health struggles, harmful social and gender norms, violence, limited access to life skills, unemployment, peer pressure, substance use, and limited opportunities to develop their talents and potential.
At the same time, many boys and young men are growing up without safe spaces where they can openly discuss emotions, identity, relationships, responsibility and the pressures they face. Without positive guidance and support, harmful ideas about masculinity can be passed from one generation to another.
Raise A Man exists to help change this.
We believe that raising a man is not simply about raising a boy to become an adult. It is about raising a human being who understands his worth, respects the dignity of others, takes responsibility for his choices, knows that seeking help is a strength, and has the skills and confidence to contribute positively to society.
Our work goes beyond boys and men. We engage young women, families, schools and communities, recognizing that positive change requires everyone to be part of the solution.
Through our work in health and mental wellbeing, life skills and leadership, gender equality and GBV prevention, skills and talent development, advocacy and community engagement, we create opportunities for young people to learn, heal, grow, lead and thrive.
We are building a generation that does not simply inherit society's challenges, but has the knowledge, courage, skills and values to transform them.
