The Gender Equality & Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention Programme is designed to promote respect, equality, and safety for all individuals by addressing harmful gender norms and preventing violence within communities.
This programme empowers young people with the knowledge, values, and skills needed to challenge inequality, build healthy relationships, and become advocates for safe and inclusive environments. We work to create a culture where dignity, respect, and equal opportunity are upheld for everyone.
Gender inequality and gender-based violence remain major challenges affecting individuals, families, and communities. Many young people grow up exposed to harmful beliefs, discrimination, or violence without the tools to question or change these patterns.
This programme seeks to:
Challenge harmful gender stereotypes and norms
Promote respect, equality, and human dignity
Prevent different forms of gender-based violence
Encourage positive behavior change among young people
Support safer communities for all
We use a participatory, inclusive, and community-centered approach that encourages reflection, dialogue, and action. The programme creates safe spaces for honest conversations while engaging both young men and women as part of the solution.
Programme delivery includes:
Interactive Workshops – Exploring gender roles, power dynamics, and equality
Safe Dialogue Spaces – Encouraging open discussions on sensitive issues
Peer Engagement – Youth-led initiatives and advocacy
